Our Team & Our Story
Revolution Dance Center is a family-owned studio founded in 2017, built on a shared passion for dance and a commitment to excellence. We offer both recreational and competitive programs in a supportive environment where dancers of all ages can grow, build confidence, and shine both on and off the stage. Our incredible staff of passionate, dedicated instructors truly care about each dancer’s success, bringing knowledge, creativity, and energy into every class while creating a positive space where dancers feel supported, challenged, and inspired to reach their full potential.

TAYLOR JOHNSON
(Owner/Instructor/Choreographer)
Taylor Johnson grew up in Norwood Young America and began dancing at the age of three. She trained at Metropolitan Dance Alliance in Shakopee, MN, where she practiced, performed, and competed in ballet, tap, jazz, and lyrical through her high school years, graduating in May 2013.
Following high school, Taylor pursued a degree in dance at the University of Wisconsin–Stevens Point. During her time there, she studied under highly respected professors including Joan Karlen, Michael Estanich, and Jeannie Hill. She also had the opportunity to both choreograph and perform in semester productions, further developing her artistry and passion for dance.

SARA JOHNSON

Sara Johnson grew up in Norwood Young America and began dancing at the age of three. She trained at Metropolitan Dance Alliance in Shakopee, MN, as well as The Dance Academy at Gymnation in Buffalo, MN. Throughout her training, she practiced, performed, and competed in a variety of styles including ballet, tap, jazz, lyrical, contemporary, and hip hop until graduating from high school in May 2016.
Sara is currently pursuing a degree in dance at the University of Wisconsin–Stevens Point, where she studies under highly respected professors including Joan Karlen, Michael Estanich, and Jeannie Hill. During her time at the university, she has performed in semester productions and continues to develop her choreographic skills through opportunities to create her own work.

TAYLOR BACHMAN

Taylor Bachman is from Green Isle, Minnesota, and began dancing at the age of three. She started competing at age eight and has trained in a wide range of styles including acro, ballet, contemporary, lyrical, jazz, musical theatre, tap, hip hop, and high kick. With 15 years of dance experience, she continues to pursue her passion by dancing at the collegiate level.
This is her third year teaching, after spending five years as an assistant, where she developed a strong foundation in working with dancers of all ages. Her favorite styles of dance are hip hop and jazz, while she especially enjoys teaching contemporary and jazz.
She is currently a senior at Minnesota State University, Mankato, where she is studying exercise science with minors in dance and sports medicine. She plans to attend graduate school next year to pursue a degree in physical therapy.

MONTANA SCHMITZ

Montana Schmitz grew up in Arlington and began dancing at the age of two. She trained for 16 years, continuing through her high school graduation in 2021. Throughout her training, she studied a variety of styles including tap, jazz, ballet, lyrical, hip hop, musical theatre, and contemporary.
Tap is Montana’s favorite style to dance, while she enjoys teaching a variety of styles, with jazz being her favorite to teach. She spent four years assisting classes before beginning her teaching career and has now been teaching for the past five years, bringing both experience and passion to her students.

JESSICA TOBER

Jessica Tober grew up in Norwood Young America and began dancing at the age of four. She was part of the very first Revolution Dance Center competition team in 2017 and began competing at age ten. Throughout her 13 years of training, she studied and competed in a wide variety of dance styles before graduating in 2023.
Jessica began teaching at Revolution Dance Center during the 2024 season and previously spent many years assisting classes, gaining valuable experience in the studio. In addition to teaching dance, she is a certified basic obedience dog trainer and a passionate animal lover. Her favorite style of dance is jazz, which is also her favorite style to teach.
